About us

Why choose us?

We understand that you may be feeling overwhelmed and in need of the right support for you right now. Perhaps you have had a new neurological diagnosis or you are finding managing your condition more challenging at present.

Or maybe you are ready to take on new goals or start new habits and just need that bit of extra support and motivation to do so. You may also have been signposted to many different healthcare professionals, in different places, and may be feeling flooded with complex information that you are unsure what to do with.

Here at Fiveways Physio, we take the time to listen to your questions and concerns and ensure that knowledge and advice is accessible and relevant to you as an individual. We offer person-centred rehabilitation, with individualised treatment programmes designed to restore mobility and function, alongside optimising your health and wellbeing.

You will feel supported and motivated and your dignity and individuality will be respected throughout the treatment process.

We will always consider you as ‘a whole person’ and will empower you to take control of your rehabilitation, at your own pace. Although evidence-based practice is at the centre of our treatment planning, there is never just one path to an individual’s rehabilitation journey; we will be flexible and innovative in order to meet your unique needs.

We accept self-referrals and are experienced with complex cases and case management.

Meet Beth…

Fiveways physio is led by Beth Marsden, a neurological and community specialist Physiotherapist, with a passion for movement and wellbeing.

She is dedicated to delivering personalised, evidence-based care that empowers people to achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.

Beth is a Chartered Physiotherapist, having graduated with a BSc (Honours) at Brunel University in 2008. She has undertaken additional training to compliment her practice; she is a 200 hour certified yoga teacher, with the Yoga Alliance and an advanced massage practitioner.

With almost 20 years of experience, she has worked mostly in the community, with people with neurological and long-term conditions. She has worked within the NHS and the private sector, across many settings including hospitals, rehabilitation, specialist schools and supported living.

Beth began her career at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, London, and since moving to Brighton in 2012, has moved more into community based care, where she believes rehabilitation can become truly person-centred. She is passionate about the bio-psychosocial approach to healthcare, always treating ‘the whole person’ and empowering individuals to reach their potential.

She loves to spend time in nature and can often be found exploring the South Downs with her dogs. She also enjoys yoga, climbing and paddleboarding.
